Jaakko Lintunen (M.Sc. and Certified Executive Coach) has a career of more than 20 years as a business leader. He has worked as a commercial director and CEO in various industries (e.g. marketing communications, media, health). Jaako has a wealth of experience in management teams and board work.
Jaakko spent the first ten years of his career in marketing communications agencies, rising to become CEO of the second largest media agency in Finland at the age of 35. The company was the fastest growing and highly profitable at the time.
Since then, Jaakko has managed the commercial operations of several major media companies. The digital transformation of the industry in a difficult market environment was his key management challenge at the time. Jaakko also served as CEO of Mediatalo ESA.
Jako gained a wealth of experience in the health sector when he managed Terveystalo's business in Pirkanmaa. In addition to 250 doctors, 150 employees worked in seven units, including a hospital unit.
Leading change in practice, so that the company's strategy is implemented in daily management and customer encounters, is crucial to the success of companies and has become one of Jaakko's passions and areas of strength. Change is part of a business leader's everyday life - who would lead a company to keep it in place? Managing change successfully is also one of the biggest challenges for business leaders, so much so that in order to cope with the day-to-day management of change, it pays to use external help. If people are not involved and thus brought on board the change journey, change will not go down well in the day-to-day practice. It also means that an excessive amount of time and money is spent and results have to wait a long time. When change is carefully planned and people are involved as early as possible in thinking about the relevance of the change to their own work, the chances of success increase exponentially.
Jaakko was inspired to become a consultant after training as a Business Coach and later as a Senior Executive Coach. Coaching is a powerful tool based on solution-oriented thinking and being people's thinking partner. Over the past five years, Jako has coached dozens of clients and has accumulated hundreds of hours of experience in this field. The loneliness of a leader is a familiar setting for Jako, so it has been very rewarding to be able to help many leaders clarify their thinking.
